Hands-on design for Safe Routes to School

The Safe Routes Partnership hosted a training led by Place It! on how to creatively engage students, parents, staff, and teachers around Safe Routes to School. Place It! created a visually peppy and poppy guide on how to engage people of all ages with their hands and senses in creating more walkable and rollable routes to school. The guide served as a companion piece both to an online training on the material and to an accompanying video, "Maximum Walk and Roll."

"This virtual workshop helped generate ideas and designs for improved routes to school that place an emphasis less on enforcement and more on visionary and inclusive design solutions."
